Some of the many activities we enjoy from day-to-day and throughout the year
CIRCLE TIME
We sit in a circle together as a part of our every-day routine.
ARTS AND CRAFTS
We make arts and crafts such as drawings, paintings, and paper-bag puppets. You'll have plenty of artwork to hang on your fridge at home and keep as memories!
SCIENCE
You're never too young to explore your scientific curiosity. Ask us about the kids' science projects.
SPANISH
Throughout the day, we speak in English and in Spanish. Don't be surprised when you're home and your kid asks you for a cup of 'agua' (water!)
PUPPETRY
We explore our imaginations through acting out plays with puppets! We love to see what plays the kids come up with.
MUSIC AND DANCE
We have a helper who comes in to play the guitar, but that isn't the only instrument we play! There are instruments for the kids to play also, such as keyboards and xylophones.
YOGA
The kids love to practice yoga - it is at once a great way to get exercise in and a wonderful way to practice calming one's mind.
VALENTINE'S DAY
We celebrate Valentine's Day with a party: heart decorations galore, and themed arts and crafts.
ST. PATRICK'S DAY
We teach the kids about leprechauns and pots of gold at the end of rainbows.
EASTER
Easter means learning about the easter bunny, decorating eggs, and going on egg hunts.
FALL & SUMMER ACTIVITIES
We play outside in every season, but especially in the Fall and Summer! In the Fall, we enjoy the falling leaves and their change of colors. In the summer, outdoor play becomes an even more prominent part of our routine.
OUTDOOR PLAY
We play outside in every season, but especially in the Summer! We love to go outside to play in the sprinklers, to do outdoor painting, to play games, to eat watermelon, and many other fun outdoors activities.
OUTDOOR PAINTING
We place large sheets of paper outdoors and let the kids paint communal murals.
SAND PLAY AND WATER GAMES
We have a sandbox outside and a sprinkler that we enjoy playing in in warmer weather.
HALLOWEEN
We celebrate Halloween by dressing in costumes and, in normal times, by inviting parents and kids to trick-or-treat in our neighborhood.
THANKSGIVING
We always cook healthy and thoughtful meals for the kids, and thanksgiving time is no different! In addition to a thanksgiving meal, we also learn about the native Americans and pilgrims, and the tradition of sharing a meal.
DECEMBER HOLIDAY PARTY
In normal times, we all get together (parents, children, and staff) to celebrate the Holiday Season and the new year.
